Marie was a wonderful guide. She was so knowledgeable about all aspects of the museum. We learned some interesting facts about mideveal vs renaissance artworks, the dress and customs of ancient Florence, beautiful old musical instruments and especially learned about Michaelangelo's David. It was a fabulous tour. We highly recommend Marie.
Olga our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and made our tour very interesting and amusing. She did not rush us during the tour and gave us lots of time to view the works of art. She obviously has a passion for what she does.
The guide was fantastic! She loved what she was talking about and had a great grasp of the history. She communicated in a way that was engaging, witty and with humor. We were hanging on her every word.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. She talked about the period of the sculptures and the sculptures themselves. I really learned a lot
Well organized tour with our guide Olga. Highly recommend taking the 1 hour tour to learn more about Michelangelo and his back story of his work. Nice museum to visit during your trip in Florence.
Ana our guide was awesome! She was enthusiastic, knowledgeable & friendly & made our tour interesting & fun! Thank you Anna!
Ticketing experience was fantastic. We had a great experience with our guide as all the other people had canceled on our tour, so it ended up being a private tour just for my husband and I. Our guide even took us into the part of the Accademia where they had Stradivarious violins which I loved. She was fenomenal and was very informative during our tour. HIGHLY recommend.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and provided us with a lot of insight about Michealangelo and his sculptures. We had some issues with the tour since we were the only two people signed up for the tour but they moved us to another tour guide and made it work!!!
The tour guide ( Frediricka ) was informative & Passionate in her narrative of 'DAVID', & other artists work displayed. Her detailed explanations were from the heart,...and we appteciated her Love for ART . !!! KUDOS to HER...!!
The guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic . He kept our attention with small details i did not know. Very interesting
My guide Emmanuela was very friendly and knowleadgable about the gallery and the artists! I would highly recommend taking her tour to have the full experience inside the gallery.
I like getting some insight into the art to gain a better understanding. So thank you. Oh yeah and the statue was beautiful
The guide gave us an excellent tour. She got us into the museum with no line and her discussions of the musical instruments and detail on the David statue were outstanding. She gave us her full attention and allowed us to move at our own pace. It was worth the money spent for us.
The tour was very good. The guide was very knowledgeable about the Accademia Gallery and the tour was very informative.
Our tour guide was a fountain of Renaissance knowledge and history. It was an excellent tour that skipped a lot of very long lines and was completely worth it.
The tour was good. Hard to hear as the guide kept holding the microphone away from her mouth and at other times covered it with her hand while walking
The intro with our guide was awesome especially since I taught the subject of the Renaissance and gave tours in Renaissance paintings at the LACMA. She was informative for those with no art knowledge but reminded those of us who did what principles we were to look for in each painting and sculpture we viewed. I loved seeing David as the epitome of the Renaissance and the power of Florence.
Our guide was very knowledgeable. There was confusion with the line ups. We chose this tour because of the skip the line. We were put in the regular line and people who bought regular tickets were getting in long before us. We were able to eventually leave the line and get in
Anna was very knowledgeable about all aspects of Art and life in Florence during the Renaissance. I loved her storytelling style which made history and art come alive. She was very kind and genuinely wanted to ensure everyone got what they wanted from the tour. Really enjoyed the experience and ot was definitely one of the highlights of our Florence trip!
The best part was the sculture of David. Also the tour guide was excellent. She was friendly, approachable and very knowledgeable .
We were a party of six and wanted to see the museum with a guide to help us make the most of our visit. The office for the tour was easy to find and Laurie could not have been any more warm and gracious when she greeted us on our arrival. She fitted us with earpieces which worked very well in the noisy street as well as inside the museum. We waited in line at the museum entrance for about five minutes until our entry time, and then she led us inside and proceeded to spin captivating stories about the history of Florence, the titanic efforts to adorn the Duomo with statuary in the 15th and 16th centuries, and most all, Michelangelo's creative brilliance. Laurie made the museum come alive for us and we would not have appreciated the paintings and especially the magnificent DAVID without her expertise and seamless dialogue. It was a magical lesson in art history and in the history, culture, politics, and economics of this fabulous city. By the way, the exhibit of Renaissance musical instruments, including several Stradivarius violins and cellos, along with an early (the first, perhaps?) pianoforte ALONE is worth the price of admission for music lovers!
The guide arrived late. Our tickets were for 2pm we did not get in until 240p we had to rush to see David, did not use the audio guide as we had to get back to the ship. The guide was apologetic but our experience was cut short because he arrived late.
We didn't know exactly where to meet, crowded street so it was easy to miss them. We do not have data, knowing to look for the purple shirts. Guide was very knowledgeable
Our Guide, Marte, made the history of the Academia so very exciting. She loves this special place very much, and we could tell. Such a beautiful place shown to us by a lovely, talented woman. Grazi, Marte!
Our experience was excellent. Our guide, Olga, did a fantastic job of explaining the history of the time and how the art was created. The sculpture of David is breathtaking and we had plenty of time to appreciate it.

We had an amazing experience with City Wonders and our English speaking tour guide, Annette. She was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging, sharing fascinating details about the history, art, and culture of the city. Her passion for the subject was evident, and she made the entire experience both educational and enjoyable. The highlight was, of course, seeing Michelangelo’s David. Annette brought the statue to life by explaining its artistic significance, the story behind its creation, and even pointing out details we would have missed on our own. Her expertise truly added depth to the experience. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city—it’s a must-do for art and history lovers! Thank you for making our visit unforgettable!
Be careful Headout double billed me for the tour and refused to refund the second billing, better to wait to come to Italy and just book the tour directly
Knowledgeable guide. However it was not clear that we would only spend 30 mins at Academia. Balance 1 HR was walking city tour. Would help if title of tour and itinerary clearly mention this.
We waited in the rain in a HUGE line for an hour to enter the venue. Absolutely NOT what we paid for as Skip the Line tickets.
We liked the story telling of the tour guide. Lots of interesting things about the city and its wonders that we otherwise wouldn't have realized.
The art displayed at the museum was Amazing. The sculptures and statue collection was spectacular. Everything was beautiful in this museum including "David" My favorite.
The guide was awesome! Very funny, very clear and good with faces. The tour was fun and the ending at the statue of David was a very good decision! Thanks :)
She was a nice person and tried her best to guide us... But her Spanish makes you loose interest because many times she doesn't find the correct words and uses lots of "muletillas" or words that are not in spanish.
Even though the guide was knowledgeable, it was hard understanding him because of his accent. Also, it would be easier to understand the guide if you gave us DUAL headphones. Single headphones don't work.
Stephano was an excellent guide who was clearly passionate about the city of Florence and its fascinating history. We learnt so much about both the city, but also about the history of Michaelangelo's David. Highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in art history, architecture or the history of one of Italy's most beautiful cities!
We love our guide Ciara, she is very informative and provided all the history behind Florence and the areas we were visiting. However there was a lady in glasses who was very rude to this man and his little son who's booking didn't come through to your firm. Instead of being apologetic and helping them, she was rude and aggressive to them. She kept raising her voice to them. I pitied the little boy
Definitely the accademy museum is the best of this tour also the guide guy, he made a big effort to explain a lot about the history of Florence
Francesca is a very friendly guide with a lot of knowledge of the city, the buildings and their history. The city was to crowdy to enjoy it fully. But Francesca showed us the best highlights in a 3 hour tour.
I have been on many guided tours around multiple cities but my guide was amazing this time. He was so knowledgeable, nice and genuinely excited to showcase the city and it's amazing art. I learnt so much from him. These things can be borning sometimes even if you love history but my guide made it enjoyable and shared information in such a relatable way that I could not help but be engaged for the full tour. I got to hear the history behind what seemed to be just a normal sign and had I done a walling tour alone I surely would have missed out on its beauty and understanding. Would highly recommend 👌
The Academia and the David never fails to impress The issues was that the City Centre tour was very slow with a lot of time standing around listening to the guides personal views. There is so much to see in Florence so we left the tour at the Duomo.
The tour was excellent. Great guide! He shared a wide range of information and was very pleasant with the group.

Barbera was a darling! So much useful information, very patient and kind. Gave everyone the opportunity to ask questions if they wanted. Super Galleria tour, fabulous City Walking tour, not too long! We learned so much! Thank you, Firenze!
A good sample of the exhibits, at the Accademia tour were explained, without being overwhelming in content or boring. The guide was friendly, enthusiastic and spoke well in English.
Meri is an exceptional guide, she dedicated the necessary time and explained everything in a pleasant and interesting way. Bravo for Meri!
